Dot NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME gTLD is the single TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to secure john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domain names remained running.

You will have the opportunity to correct the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no particular stipulations on who can obtain a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
